CPPE resources to support childhood vaccination

CPPE have shared resources to support community pharmacy professionals to deliver the childhood vaccination service:

  • a section has been added to the Vaccination Services : CPPE page on the CPPE website specifically dedicated to the NHS Childhood Flu Vaccination Service. In addition to signposting to the regulatory documents to provide the service, you will find information on flu vaccines for children and young people, a video and resources on how to administer the live attenuated influenza vaccine (Fluenz® nasal spray) and information for parents and carers. We have also included resources to support pharmacy professionals in consulting with children and young people, obtaining consent to administer a vaccination to a child and responding to anaphylaxis and basic life support in children.
  • In addition to the Vaccination services page, we have added an additional section into the Influenza : CPPE e-learning programme to enable learners who use this to support their annual update training to see this at the same time.
